These Terms of Use govern access to and use of exodustruckandtrailer.com, including its public website, articles, guides, checklists, calculators, tools, forms, downloads, images, educational materials, comments, resources, product information, and other content provided by Exodus Truck & Trailer (“Exodus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Certain portions of the website are governed by additional terms. Paid members of the Exodus Trucking Community are also subject to the Exodus Trucking Community Membership Terms & Conditions and Community Guidelines. Purchases, digital products, fleet resources, or other services may also be subject to additional terms presented with those products or services.
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and applicable law.
Purpose of the Exodus Website
Exodus Truck & Trailer provides practical trucking information, operational resources, educational material, tools, checklists, business information, equipment information, industry resources, and related content for drivers, owner-operators, fleets, trucking businesses, equipment owners, and others involved in transportation.
Our purpose is to help people make better-informed decisions and build better operating systems around their trucks and businesses.
The information available through Exodus is educational and informational. It does not replace current regulations, manufacturer requirements, physical inspection of equipment, or advice from appropriately qualified professionals when one is needed.
Permitted Use of Exodus Information
Unless a particular resource states otherwise, visitors may read and use information available on the public Exodus website for their own personal use or for the ordinary internal operation of their own trucking or transportation business.
For example, a driver, owner-operator, fleet manager, dispatcher, maintenance manager, safety manager, or business owner may apply information learned through Exodus to their own operation.
A business may use concepts, procedures, ideas, calculations, maintenance practices, organizational methods, and other knowledge learned from Exodus in running its own business.
You may also make a reasonable number of printed or electronic copies of publicly available Exodus material for your own personal reference or legitimate internal business use, provided the material is not substantially republished, redistributed, sold, licensed, or made available as a competing resource.
Using the information in your own operation is encouraged.
Selling or redistributing Exodus content itself is not.
Fleet and Company Use
Exodus recognizes that many resources may be useful not only to individual owner-operators but also to small fleets and transportation companies.
A fleet may use information obtained from publicly available Exodus articles, checklists, guides, or educational resources to improve its own internal operations, maintenance practices, driver procedures, purchasing decisions, safety programs, recordkeeping systems, or business processes.
A fleet may also create its own internal procedures based on knowledge learned through Exodus.
However, unless Exodus specifically grants broader permission, a company may not reproduce substantial portions of Exodus materials and distribute them as its own training program, employee handbook, commercial product, membership resource, consulting package, fleet-management system, or other separately distributed resource.
For example, learning from an Exodus maintenance checklist and developing a company’s own maintenance procedure is permitted.
Copying the Exodus checklist, removing the Exodus name, putting a company logo on it, and distributing it as the company’s own work is not.
Reasonable internal use does not create ownership of Exodus intellectual property.
Fleet Accounts and Multi-User Access
Unless a membership, digital product, or license specifically states otherwise, a paid Exodus membership is intended for the individual account holder.
One membership account does not automatically provide unlimited access for an entire fleet, company, group of drivers, related companies, or other organization.
Membership login credentials may not be routinely shared among multiple employees or users to avoid purchasing additional memberships or licenses.
Exodus may offer fleet, team, company, or multi-user membership options in the future. Those plans may include different pricing, access rights, distribution permissions, or account-management features.
If a company needs broader internal access or permission to distribute a paid Exodus resource throughout its organization, it should contact Exodus regarding appropriate permission or a fleet license.
Public Resources, Paid Resources and Digital Products
Different Exodus materials may carry different usage rights.
Public articles and free resources may generally be used for personal or internal business reference as described in these Terms.
Paid Community resources, Mile-Proven materials, premium downloads, paid manuals, workbooks, templates, calculators, training materials, or other paid products may have more limited rights.
Purchasing a digital product or membership does not transfer ownership of the underlying intellectual property.
Unless a product specifically states otherwise, purchasing or accessing paid Exodus content gives the purchaser a limited right to use that material for their own personal or internal business purposes.
It does not give the purchaser the right to resell, sublicense, republish, distribute, upload, share publicly, or create competing commercial products from the material.
Tools, Calculators and Interactive Resources
Exodus may provide calculators, worksheets, estimating tools, decision tools, maintenance trackers, cost-per-mile tools, equipment-selection resources, fleet tools, business tools, or other interactive resources.
These tools are intended to assist with organization, planning, research, comparison, and decision-making.
Users may use the results generated by Exodus tools in their own personal or business operations.
For example, a trucking company may use calculations from an Exodus operating-cost tool when evaluating its own freight, equipment, maintenance, or business decisions.
However, the underlying Exodus tool, formulas, layout, programming, structure, written explanations, downloadable template, or proprietary methodology may not be copied, reverse-engineered, reproduced, white-labeled, embedded into another product, resold, licensed to others, or used to create a substantially similar commercial service without permission.
Using the result of a calculator in your business is different from copying and selling the calculator itself.
Information Entered Into Tools
Some Exodus tools may allow users to enter information about trucks, trailers, fleets, mileage, operating costs, maintenance, loads, customers, revenue, expenses, or other business information.
Users are responsible for deciding what information they enter.
Do not enter passwords, payment-card numbers, Social Security numbers, banking credentials, trade secrets, or other highly sensitive information unless a particular feature is expressly designed to receive that information.
The collection and handling of personal information through the website is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Information entered into a calculator or tool should not be assumed to be confidential merely because the tool is available through Exodus unless Exodus specifically states that the information will be treated as confidential.
Tool Results and Calculations
Calculators and tools depend on the information entered by the user and on the assumptions built into the particular tool.
Results may be affected by missing information, inaccurate inputs, changing market conditions, taxes, financing, equipment differences, maintenance history, fuel prices, insurance costs, freight conditions, regulatory requirements, and other variables.
Outputs are estimates or informational aids unless expressly stated otherwise.
Exodus does not guarantee that a calculated rate, operating cost, maintenance interval, expected profit, fuel estimate, equipment recommendation, or other result will accurately predict a user’s actual outcome.
Users remain responsible for reviewing the underlying assumptions and deciding whether the result is appropriate for their operation.
No Resale or Redistribution of Exodus Materials
Unless Exodus gives written permission, users may not sell, license, sublicense, rent, redistribute, publicly post, publish, reproduce in substantial part, or commercially exploit Exodus content.
This includes Exodus articles, guides, manuals, checklists, worksheets, forms, templates, Mile-Proven resources, calculators, databases, graphics, photographs owned by Exodus, videos, downloads, Community resources, training material, and other proprietary content.
Users may not purchase or access an Exodus resource and then sell substantially the same material through another website, membership, course, trucking company, consulting business, social-media account, marketplace, or other platform.
Users also may not remove Exodus copyright notices, branding, attribution, watermarks, or other ownership information from protected resources for the purpose of presenting the material as their own.
Modification and Derivative Use
Applying Exodus concepts to your own operation is permitted.
Creating a substantially copied or lightly modified version of an Exodus product for redistribution or commercial sale is not.
Changing colors, logos, fonts, wording, page order, or formatting does not make copied material a new original work.
If a company wants permission to adapt an Exodus resource for broader company-wide distribution, training, or commercial use, it should contact Exodus regarding licensing.
Automated Access, Scraping and Data Extraction
Users may not use bots, crawlers, scraping tools, automated extraction systems, bulk-download tools, or similar methods to copy substantial portions of the Exodus website or member resources without permission.
Normal indexing by legitimate search engines is not prohibited.
Users may not systematically extract Exodus articles, resource libraries, forum content, product data, calculators, or other materials for the purpose of creating a competing database, website, service, commercial product, or content repository.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Use
Unless Exodus provides permission, substantial Exodus content may not be systematically collected, downloaded, scraped, reproduced, or assembled for the purpose of training, fine-tuning, building, or supplying a commercial artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system.
This restriction does not prevent an ordinary visitor from using a small portion of Exodus content in a personal productivity tool where otherwise lawful and consistent with these Terms.
It is intended to prevent large-scale extraction or commercial reuse of Exodus’s original resource library without authorization.
Ownership of Exodus Content
Unless otherwise stated, original Exodus Truck & Trailer content is owned by or licensed to Exodus.
This may include written articles, guides, Mile-Proven resources, manuals, checklists, forms, worksheets, calculators, graphics, photographs, videos, branding, logos, layouts, downloadable resources, training materials, software, and other original works.
Copyright and other intellectual-property rights are not transferred merely because material can be viewed, printed, downloaded, purchased, or accessed through a membership.
User-Submitted Content
The website may allow users to submit comments, questions, photographs, files, reviews, forum posts, Ask Exodus submissions, or other content.
You retain ownership of original material you create and submit.
By submitting material to an area intended for display or Community interaction, you grant Exodus a non-exclusive permission to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and moderate that material as reasonably necessary to operate the website or Community.
This permission does not transfer ownership of your original work to Exodus.
Do not submit content that you do not have the legal right to provide.
Copyright and Intellectual Property Complaints
Exodus respects legitimate intellectual-property rights.
If you believe material appearing on the website infringes intellectual property you own or are authorized to enforce, contact Exodus and provide sufficient information to identify the material and explain the concern.
Exodus may temporarily restrict or remove disputed material while a credible complaint is reviewed.
Accounts and Login Information
Certain website features require an account.
Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials and for activity occurring through their account.
Do not knowingly use another person’s account without authorization or provide access to a paid account for the purpose of avoiding applicable membership or licensing requirements.
Exodus may suspend or restrict accounts associated with suspected fraud, credential sharing, unauthorized distribution of paid materials, attempted security breaches, or serious violations of these Terms.
Comments and Community Content
Visitors and members may be allowed to submit comments, discussions, questions, images, files, or other content.
Users remain responsible for what they submit.
Do not knowingly submit unlawful, fraudulent, threatening, defamatory, malicious, deceptive, infringing, or dangerously misleading material.
Do not publish another person’s private or sensitive information without permission.
A statement appearing in a comment or Community discussion does not become an Exodus recommendation simply because it appears on the Exodus website.
Community members are also subject to the separate Community Guidelines.
Educational and Informational Nature of Exodus Content
Exodus may discuss trucking regulations, FMCSA and DOT requirements, vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, cargo securement, equipment, business operations, freight, fuel, insurance, operating costs, profitability, financing, tools, software, products, and related topics.
Information is provided for general educational and informational purposes.
It is not a substitute for current law or regulation, manufacturer instructions, an in-person mechanical or safety inspection, or individualized advice from an appropriately qualified mechanic, attorney, accountant, tax professional, insurance professional, engineer, certified inspector, safety professional, or other specialist.

Accuracy and Changing Information
Trucking is a constantly changing industry.
Regulations, enforcement policies, fuel prices, equipment specifications, software, parts, product availability, freight markets, insurance costs, tax requirements, operating costs, and other information may change.

When a specific purchase term conflicts with these general Terms of Use concerning that transaction, the more specific purchase term controls for that matter.
Paid Memberships
Paid access to the Exodus Trucking Community is governed by the separate Exodus Trucking Community Membership Terms & Conditions.
Those Membership Terms address recurring billing, cancellation, Founding Member pricing, Community access, account use, membership content, and other membership-specific matters.
If these Terms of Use conflict with the Membership Terms concerning a paid Community membership, the Membership Terms control for that membership issue.
Website Availability
Exodus works to keep the website available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, software updates, security issues, hosting problems, internet outages, payment-provider problems, third-party service failures, or other circumstances.
Website layouts, features, resources, tools, and services may change as Exodus develops.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the website, content, resources, tools, and services are provided on an “as available” basis.
Exodus does not guarantee that every item will always be complete, error-free, uninterrupted, current, compatible with every operation, or suitable for every particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or protections that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of Liability

Users remain responsible for decisions involving their vehicles, fleets, equipment, loads, maintenance, repairs, business operations, compliance obligations, purchasing, finances, employees, customers, and use of information obtained through Exodus.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
User Responsibility
You are responsible for how you apply information obtained through Exodus.
Providing a calculation, checklist, article, recommendation, guide, or tool does not mean Exodus assumes responsibility for operating your truck, managing your fleet, inspecting equipment, maintaining regulatory compliance, running your business, supervising employees, choosing loads, calculating taxes, or making purchasing decisions.
Those responsibilities remain with the applicable user, driver, motor carrier, fleet, employer, equipment owner, or business.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not knowingly use the Exodus website to commit fraud, impersonate others, distribute malware, interfere with site operation, gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems, bypass membership restrictions, steal or scrape protected content, violate intellectual-property rights, distribute another user’s sensitive information, or engage in conduct that materially harms the website or its users.
Exodus may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the site, Community, users, content, systems, or business.
Privacy
Use of the website is also subject to the Exodus Truck & Trailer Privacy Policy, which explains how information may be collected, used, stored, and shared.
Changes to These Terms
Exodus may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the website, services, tools, products, business practices, technology, legal requirements, or policies.
The current version will be posted on this page with its effective or updated date.
When a change materially affects an existing paid service or another significant user right, Exodus will provide additional notice when reasonably appropriate or required by applicable law.
Continued use of the website after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these general Terms do not override specific promises contained in another applicable agreement, such as the Founding Member pricing provisions in the Exodus Trucking Community Membership Terms & Conditions.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Nothing in these Terms eliminates rights or protections that cannot legally be waived.
General Provisions
If a provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
A failure by Exodus to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
These Terms, together with other policies expressly applicable to a particular service or transaction, govern use of the Exodus website.
